Cover_Browning.jpgA few miles west of Charlottesville, Virginia, just before Route 250 begins its climb over the Blue Ridge, lies the village of Greenwood. Known for its beautiful views and farmland, Greenwood has also been a folk dance destination for decades. Several evenings each month, the local community center comes alive with great music, fine dancing, and friendships that go back through the years.

As both dancers and performers, we have always been enchanted with this venue. We recorded Sunday in Greenwood to celebrate this community, and to explore one of our most beloved forms of dancing, the waltz. Almost all of these tracks are original. Influenced heavily by Celtic and other folk idioms, the mood of each tune varies, expressing by turns joy, longing, melancholy, and wonder.
